Okay, I tried to disconnect both battery cables to reset the ECU didn't seem to help. Still would not start. I tried removing starter relay a couple of times but that didn't seem to help. No, there is no aftermarket alarm or remote start system. I was thinking about the ignition system too, but I don't think that would stop the car from running once it has started. No, it is not completely dead, but the starting frequency is getting worse and worse.

I will try to take both battery cables off and reset the ECU. The first time I took it in to the mechanic, he couldn't find any trouble codes.

correct I didn't have a breaker bar, and I needed a torque wrench anyway. It worked??? I shouldn't have done it that way, but I did. I never claimed to be perfect. :)
