Hi Folks, I have a 2015 Limited 4wd, completely stock with only 28,000 miles. There is a creaking noise in the front suspension when going over small bumps etc, also when turning the steering wheel back and forth at slow speeds. Sounds like it's coming from the front left but not 100% sure...

I was wondering how the cruise control might be affected with regard to shifting out of overdrive on a slight hill or overpass which the 4Runner is famous for. Would the Sprint booster help this situation or make it worse? Maybe stay the same?

My 2015 LE developed the exact same problem at about 11,000 miles. I lived with it awhile and changed the gear oil a few times with various fluids and weights which did absolutely nothing to the noise level. Finally took it in and they replaced the rear diff under warranty at around 20,000...

Keep your current 4Runner and refinance it for a longer term. Every time you trade vehicles you will get further underwater.

I've heard of similar problems on other vehicles when your battery is starting to get weak or dying. Just a thought....don't know too much about the 4Runner yet.

Obviously includes your trade. I have a dealer here in NC knocking $4,000 off the sticker of a 2014 LE 4wd with no DOC or other fees, just tax, title and license plate. Scared to spend 40K on a vehicle but probably will go ahead and do it.

Ask the dealer to check all the engine mounts and transmission mounts.
