After I posted my reply I googled both filters and realized the parts guy didnt know what he was talking about. If the 20004 is the better filter, why dont they offer it in the US? Either way, I'm assuming the Toyota brand filters are better than Purolator or Fram?

I have used the wrench but it did not work, I'm guessing because the top of the oil filter was so stripped from trying to get it off. At this point, I will take your suggestion and just put the screwdriver throught it. thanks for your reply.

I have an 06 Limited with 500 miles on it and recently started hearing the same thing. I am also having a problem with the JBL radio and heavy static. I contacted the dealer and they said to bring it in for service. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come with this vehicle.
