Just based up the pattern and the damage, it sure looks like it was scraped with a boot or something sudden moving across it. You can see the heavier hit on the bottom of the pic and fade as it moves up.

I agree with this. Most shoppers think the 4Runner is like a Mazda CX-7 mixed with a Tahoe or something. They don't always understand the purpose and market these are made for. The review is fair in it's warning for those types of shoppers I think.

Literally why I got mine. I love every "old" thing about it.
