I have the same problem but mine starts after a light rain and sounds like pebbles knocking around .Happens between 40-65mph.Never when it’s dry out only during a light drizzle .I’m messing with it now trying to track it down.Has done it since brand new,everything looks secure and nothing loose...

You mean like the years of thin paint and thin weak windshields ? Gotta have saved some money on paint as thin as it is on my 21 4runner

Battery must have been low (the main battery,not fob battery) drove it about 20minutes and now locks from inside the house and a good distance away like normal ,hasn’t missed a lick since.I had the stereo on for a while while detailing the interior,battery must have gotten low .
