What size/pitch is the idler pulley bolt

It looks like someone who put this in before killed the threads at the end of the bolt. I think it's a M10 but can't tell what thread pitch. It looks like either a defect or someone partially shaved off some of the thread. My searches haven't turned up the answer yet.

Alternator dead, tensioner questionable and my old man brain

I have a new belt, and did pop the old one off to check pulleys. The idler is buttery smooth - is it worth replacing anyway?

Alternator dead, tensioner questionable and my old man brain

You my friend have made my day! I feel a little I feel a little dumb for my lapse, but I did find the record for Toyota Care and it jogged my memory. It wasn't done when I bought it, so I negotiated accordingly and dropped it off at the dealer to have the work done before I even brought it...

Alternator dead, tensioner questionable and my old man brain

I'm preparing to replace the above 2 items and while reading threads, it looks like if I'm in that deep I should probably consider the timing belt / water pump status. I have an 06 V8 purchased in 2012 with about 110k on the clock. My *memory* was that the timing belt/water pump had been done...

R26 plug and pins? Nav install

I think I am still doing a sh***y job communicating what I am trying to track down or I am totally lost. You guys were looking for the female plugs and pins for these connectors so that you could install a Toyota Nav unit, correct? You needed the plugs that connected to the radio. I need the...

R26 plug and pins? Nav install

I think that's the mate to what I am after I think that link is for the female portion of R26... similar to what is on the vehicle harness. I'm looking for the male counterpart that plugs into it (along with the male counterparts for all the connectors I mentioned). I want to wire up a...

R26 plug and pins? Nav install

Help! I really do not want to carve up all the factory harnesses in my '06 w/JBL/Nav. I have been trying, without success, to find the part numbers for the "male" versions of the above. Basically I'd like to make a harness that allows me to connect my aftermarket system while maintaining the...

R26 plug and pins? Nav install

Reviving an old thread Anyone have input here? Up to now I have avoided chopping up any of my factory harnesses. Does anyone have part numbers or ? I tried Mouser and digi-key but I quickly got lost....

Yep, thanks. I got brave (or stupid) before your post and gave it a shot. Very simple.

    Wires through firewall

Absolutely. I know myself too well. I got restless a bit ago and poked a little hole in that grommet. I pushed a small wooden stick about 8-10" into the hole, then went to the passenger compartment to find it. It must be my lucky day because I could see it right there just to the right of...

    Wires through firewall

Thanks for the help. I suspect my curiosity will get the best of me and I'll try to go thru the passenger side. But if that fails I feel like I have a backup plan.

    Wires through firewall

Thanks, sounds like it's doable but truthfully... I'm really intrigued by the grommet on the passenger side. I'm not as young as I once was and am a little ham handed, so routing wires under the dash doesn't appeal to me. If nobody weighs in on that passenger side entry point I will probably...

    Wires through firewall

If I come in on the drivers side is it challenging to get the wires to the other side once they are in the passenger compartment? Seems like it would be easier to cross in the engine compartment?

For sure, I am just hesitant to cut a slit in the grommet to go fishing. Hoping someone can advise on the best location to cut before I fish stuff through.
