I had the exact same problem on the same bolt, but it was definitely because as I was installing i felt it cross threading but didn't stop. Once I did it was too late, and I had to cut it off. All of the others, and also the new ones, went in like butter.

Now that I've swapped out my OEM skid plates for some RCI armor, I'm wondering what I should do with the old ones? Hang on to them in the off chance I need them? Sell 'em or give 'em away? Return them to their natural habitat, i.e. let them go back to being beer cans? I appreciate the thoughts...
