FS: New Cooper ST Maxx 255/80R17 on 2006 4Runner SR5 Factory Rim $250 Bonney Lake, WA

FS: Brand New Cooper ST Maxx 255/80R17 on 2006 4Runner SR5 Factory Rim Hey everyone, I’m selling a brand new Cooper ST Maxx 255/80R17 tire that’s been mounted on a factory 17" rim from a 2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5. This tire is completely unused with zero miles on it—it’s never been driven on or...

    eBay uniball control arms?

Looks like they still haven't figured out the correct inner sleeve length though. :bash:

Well the clicking returned from the rears. . but only in reverse. I am taking it in to my local shop tomorrow to help diagnose. I STILL think it's coming from the parking brake assembly. . . but sure hope there isn't something wrong with the hub flange.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Awesome! Tell me about your lift setup. This is my next undertaking to get 255/85's on my truck.

Well this is finally done! Couple words of wisdom: I went with the G4 Caliper Paint system to try and apply some rust deterrence before install. Easy system and there's a LOT more paint there. I got 3 light coats on all 4 of the new calipers and there was several ounces of product remaining...

    Three broken studs...

Very true. What did they end up doing? If the stud is broken I guess I'm not visualizing why this is such a challenge. Got any pics?

    Three broken studs...

When the wheel studs go. . they go. I broke one last week on the 2d to last lug nut after installing my new rear brakes (and subsequent Parking Brake adjustment). . .Sometimes they just go. At least it is a SUPER easy fix!

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finished up my 5th Gen brake upgrade. Did not release the right parking brake shoes enough and bent one of the retaining pins. Pulled it out and will overhaul it this week. Pads are still in good shape. Then I broke a wheel stud torquing the last bolt on the last wheel to go on. Brakes are...

Update: Right rear aft parking brake shoe retaining pin was somehow bent. This allowed the shoe to not be retracted far enough (even with the adjuster at full contraction). So I'll order that up. In the mean time I've removed the majority of the components in there and zip tied them secure...

    5th Gen Calipers

Well this has certainly been trying. The whole install went smooth as silk. But I have a crazy bad clicking sound coming from the rear end now. . . and my hunch is that it is a piece of the parking brake mechanism catching on the inside of the rotor or the hub. Both sides and shoes are fully...

    2UZ-FE R&R T-Belt & Water Pump

Bingo. And it makes perfect sense. But somewhere along the way I (and apparently my shop's tech now as well) bumped the whole timing off a tooth or two. What's interesting is how well the engine sounded (nothing abnormal) and felt (seemingly same power) with the computer throwing the timing...
