What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finished up my 5th Gen brake upgrade. Did not release the right parking brake shoes enough and bent one of the retaining pins. Pulled it out and will overhaul it this week. Pads are still in good shape.

Then I broke a wheel stud torquing the last bolt on the last wheel to go on.

Brakes are wonderful with Hawk pads though.

Has anyone perfected how to best bleed the brakes though. I mean I can't seem to get a firm pedal after ANY time I've bleed these.
 
Pulled my headlight apart and re-seal with new. At first it would leak only when going thru a car wash. Now even when it rain. Pretty easy overall.

And this is looking down at them with the cover off. My lightbar switch is on the left, center diff switch on the right. The red wire going from my switch to the center diff switch was the one that controlled the dash light illumination on my switch. I then connected that red wire to the green wire on the center diff lock switch (you should have 3 grey wires and 1 green wire). This will make your switch light come on when you turn your lights on.

Thanks! Guess I'm just gonna have to pull her apart and see what I can find back there when I have some free time. I should probably check to see if the center diff lock switch even lights up anymore lol.
 
Finally got the compressor installed. Took two days and hours of cutting, welding, and countless fitment checks. Really fun project though and man this thing is a beast! More photos in my build log.

And yes I know my engine bay is dirty. Fluid changes and a nice old cleaning inside and out is in the forecast for tomorrow.

Rebuilt my front calipers. Was not having any issues, but did not want to have to worry about it. Turns out one of the pistons was on the verge of seizing, but I was able to clean it up and it's all good to go! The inside pistons sure we're rusty compared to the outside ones.

Alright man this is my next project I can't let this shit keep slipping away from me. I'm aware I probably have some decent headlights, could be better depending on what I've read but they are these http://www.protuninglab.com/03to4ra...ooglepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=140850936538

I'm noticing a broken seal as well as some small excessive cracking around the seal in the plastic. Do you think it'll be doable or east to fix that without have to buy new headlights, I'm just not ready for that yet

Got a flowmaster super 44 on. Sounds so much better. There's a little drone but that's ok with me.

I got my ditch lights on this weekend too. They're just cheap amazon led's for now. It was mostly for looks. I got my sweet group buy switch in to control them.

You can always try silicone where you think it's leaking. I remember googling and there was a member on here who did just that. I would have done that too but I had a rubber seal laying around.

Did an oil change and put a K&N air filter in. Bought 2 new rear all-seasons tires that matched the front all-seasons. (Bought it with 2 new tires on the front and 2 worn out all terrains on the back.) Now she is in the shop getting new rear brakes and the rear axle seals and bearings replaced. A buddy of mine works for Toyota at the dealer, got all new Toyota parts at cost and he only charged me an hour labor. I don't have time to do all this myself that's why I paid him for the parts and to do it at the dealership. Now driving an awful beater 84 Ranger with a 5 speed and dying for my rig back.
