It has been well documented that the paint on the 4Runner seems to be very soft. I have a several surface scratches that I have not been able to buff out with rubbing compound or normal waxing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what products have worked for you in removing such scratches...

Locking Programmable I had my dealer turn down (not off) the arming beeps. However, I programmed the door locks myself. There are 4 options on the programming of the door locks and the instructions are in the manual - 20's or 30's. Very easy. Dan

Thanks for all of the comments on my original question. My dealer verified that the beeps can only be turned down and not off. Without any groveling, threats, or negotiating on my part, they turned the beeps down as far as they could go for free. I am much happier now . . . a good middle...

I have a 2003 4 Runner and want to disable the annoying beeps that come when you lock/ unlock the 4Runner. The manual says to contact the dealer for info. Does anyone have this info? I'd really like to turn these beeps off. Dan [email protected]
