I mistyped on mine hah ... I have been through touch car washes multiple times a year for 4+ years and had no issues.

Agree with this ... I have had a BajaRack rack & ladder for 4+ years and ran it through a touch car wash the whole time with no issues. The only struggle was cleaning behind the ladder, the spinning cloth won't get back there so the hatch is usually a little dirty coming out unless you prewash it.

It was the bike rack + camping set up ... Assumed there would be some mountain biking involved hah.

Looks great!! I did something very similar and stapled some outdoor carpet (~$40 from Home Depot) over mine ... really helped stop things from sliding around and looks a lot better IMO.

I use something very similar to this and it works very well. I've only used it in the winter with the windows down a smidge, so can't speak to the fans. Figure with the windows down it won't be that much different than being in a tent. If you're looking for someone to hit up some IMBA Epics...

I just rattle-canned mine and then added red vinyl lettering from TVD. After almost 6 months of use, it's not perfect anymore, but it's only really noticeable if you get up really close to it - from afar it looks great. Really easy/cheap to touch up as well. Didn't need to do any pre-install...
