A small dab of grease along the metal ring to hold it in place helps a lot. Also, be sure you are straight and nothing is in your way. If you line it up right, it can be seated by hand with a strong push by hand.
I cannot answer the fill amount other than the possibility of a slope when filling (seems unlikely though).
I will say, the only way I was able to get the drain plug (10mm hex) loose in front was using a cold chisel on the edge with a few heavy hits. Only took 3-4 wacks to crack it loose...
Anyone have the extended and collapsed measurements for the 6112's? I see the Tacoma version has the following, but I have not been able to find the 4Runner numbers...

Just installed slyfox75 's kit last night. Instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Installation took about 5-10 minutes of actual work. Kit is was professionally built and packaged.
My wife and I have an '01 Tacoma DC (for sale), an '05 GX470 and a'15 Sienna XLE. She much prefers to drive the GX470 overall, although the extra space and comforts of the Sienna win out when transporting 3 kids (all under 5ys of age) around town.
