yesterday i changed the:
air filter
pcv valve and grommet, to include pulling the old grommet out of the box it fell into while i was changing it...doh!
front wiper blades
also reset the EFI sensor
tomorrow she goes to a shop for an inspection
saturday is tires and...
i don't have a vac like that do that; so, yeah, what may have dropped in there is still there
i don't think anything did, but just can't say 100% for sure
just took it around the block and everything seems ok
guess time will tell

i'm in a bit of panic mode atm
i was changing the valve and the grommet...the grommet was very brittle...it kept breaking off in my needle-nose pliers
i don't think anything fell inside the unit...

...that is until i tried to get between the grommet and the rim with the needle-nose...
