Re: Whoa.... No problem. Yeah i did mine while it was cold out. I used 3 of those halogen <--spl? lights to keep the truck warm and for lighting of course. lol again Good Luck :-)

Sorry... i didnt take any pics. I also sold the truck 3 weeks ago. The heater still works awesome. :-) So yeah... The whole dash has to come off. :-( Heres how i did it: 1- disconnect the battery 2- remove center top and bottom console. 3- remove radio and loosen heater control bolts...

I had the same problem with mine. I had the heater at full blast and wasnt getting any hot air... I changed thermostat, did a coolant flush and nothing. I decided to take the heater core off to check it. Its not really that hard to take the dash off. It took me about an hour or so to...

yes, infact i made it thru 5 other hills with no problem.. I had it on low 4 though. Didnt get stuck once... Love the truck. Had an awesome time with the guys... This sunday coming up were heading back out there for more mudding/offroading action... I took videos but for some reason...

^^^thanks... Yeah i just spoke to the guy that sold me the truck and he said he'll take it to his mechanic to take care of the problem, since he had told me the 4x4 was working fine.

ok, so i lifted the truck and front wheels spin freely while on 4x4. low and hi. I had my wife put it on Hi4 and drive forward and i notice the small shaft by the tranfer case turns. When i set it back to normal 2 wheel drive, the shaft doesnt turn, so im assuming my transfer case is...

funny, im having the same problem with my 96 sr5. Its sucks to drive in the snow without 4x4. good luck!

I have the shifter itself on it. (lever) NO BUTTON. I hear a relay or something inside the dash board everytime i switch to 4x4, but for some reason the front wheels arent locking. It sucks in the snow. Im very dissapointed. The guy that sold it to me told me the shit worked fine. :mad:

How can i tell if my 4x4 is working? We got hit with snow today, so i decided to put it on 4x4, but didnt notice a difference... sorry, its my first 4x4 vehicle. BTW, its a 96 sr5 4 runner 4x4 automatic. Thanks JoJo
