    Whirling Noise when Accelerating

No trouble codes. I should check the fluid though. Would that cause an issue with the Torque Converter?

    Whirling Noise when Accelerating

I'm leaning towards tranny pump or torque converter. When I start it up and drive around for a bit my RPM's will rev at low speeds before it 'catches'. Feels like a slip too.

    Whirling Noise when Accelerating

Interesting enough I was able to get it up to 4k - 5k while in park and was unable to replicate the noise. Now that I think of it I might have my new mechanic check it out since he has a lift and all. It's just so weird because the noise is hit and miss, at one point I thought it was normal...

Stubborn P0773 code won't go away!

Thank you. I am really happy I got it sorted out. Previous mechanic caused me two weeks of rentals and $350 bucks worth of repairs, coming in over 1K alone just to take my car back the way it was. Never going back to my 'family' mechanic again. Not to knock the guy but he's getting old and is...

Stock radio for now. Just got rid of my CEL so nothing there. Nothing grinding either, just whirling at low speeds.

I’m going to give that a go this weekend and report back.

    Whirling Noise when Accelerating

Weird thing is this even happens at low accelerations, AC on or off, even in 2 or L it still happens. Friend said it might be bearings or a pulley, let’s hope he’s right.

    Whirling Noise when Accelerating

Hey peeps, I was driving home today and I noticed a whirling noise when going around 40 MPH. I would accelerate and deaccelerate, the noise is hit and miss. I posted a link below if you peeps want to take a look. Tomorrow I am going to grease my drive shaft to see if that rules anything out...

Stubborn P0773 code won't go away!

Quick update: Took it to the new mechanic and turns out that the solenoid that my previous mechanic installed was the wrong one and was smaller. New mechanic was pissed at my old mechanic. Once he replaced all the solenoids with the kit the code has gone away.

Stubborn P0773 code won't go away!

Called a new mechanic and he said he would do the job on replacing the solenoids and filter. Do these parts check out for a Solenoid Kit, Filter and Gasket?

I’m not sure but I will check again. I kind of remember no shakes or shutters but I’ll confirm. At this point I’m shopping for a solenoid kit. Any suggestions?

Stubborn P0773 code won't go away!

I tested it out this morning on my way to work and the TC is locking up. I would get to 50, let it coast (I would de-accelerate at this point), apply gas, rpms would go up but mph would not change for a bit then it would “shift” and accelerate.

Sounds good. I will check in the morning and let everyone know. Is it bad if the TC locks up and shutters?

I will check this in the morning. Thank you!

Stubborn P0773 code won't go away!

That’s kind of weird. When I shift I get a shutter which almost feels like a pull. So this morning I was able to accelerate to 45-50 and I didn’t feel a shift. I will reconfirm this after my drive home. I will say that when I hit around 60 I felt the usual gear change shutter but I’m not...
