No, it isn't about the A/C, it is about choosing to recirculate the air (warm or cold). In my 2020 4Runner when I activate the recycling the amber light comes on. If I turn off the engine and turn it back on it will revert to being off (not recycling).

The light does stay on while the engine is running. The problem is that it is turned off (deactivated) when the engine is turned off and then back again.

Hello. Is it normal for the Recycle button to go back to not being on after the engine is powered down and then back up again? I don't hear any sounds when I turn it on or off when the dash has power. How can I test to see if it closes when I choose it to recycle? Thanks a lot. Farzad
