Well, back to my original question. Will a bad lockup solenoid cause the shifting problems? It's not slipping, just shifting very late at about 4500 rpm.

I can R & R the trans but not rebuild it. Where might I find a "discounting dealer source"?

Any idea how much a rebuild might run me? Anyone know a good place in the Henderson, Las Vegas, Nevada area?

Fluid looked ok. Nothing unusual in the pan. New fluid, new filter and topped off. Acting the same as before, no improvement. It's not slipping, just not shifting as it should.

Just finished installing shift solenoids in my A340 4WD trans. Also decided to drop the pan on the transfer case. Good thing because there was a solenoid with a wire broken off. I soldered the wire and put everything back together. The fluid that came out of the transfer case was the same color...

Hi all, what do I need to convert my R12 system to 134A?

I've seen replacement engines from Japan advertised. Are these worth the money? I've seen them for around $1700.

Looks like all the coolant has leaked into the oil pan:wow:. I think I'll be looking into replacing the engine. 256k on the truck. A little over 10k on engine rebuild.
