I have a feeling there may be a hybrid model come out in 2023. Just glad they got rid of the ugly infotainment that they had since the 2000's.
That said, I am not a fan if they came out with a hybrid model. I genuinely wish there was a fully electric model since the markets are shifting...
Kudos for the OP to start this thread and help people who wanted to do this conversion. I just want to add a bit to what I did in case someone decides to do this modification in the future.
I have a 2003 V8 4runner. i just want to point out, the reason you have the hyperflash blinking for the...
At first I was reading your description and thought you were in the wrong to make the left lane change to turn Right. but I misinterpreted it like some other readers who should have used google maps to play the situation out.

4wd is not just for people offroading, it gives you more grip on the road when you need it the most. especially rainy/icy roads. So its an additional safety feature for me.

I just changed mine awhile ago. so glad I don't have this problem anymore.
250,000 miles is nothing. It depends on your budget on how much you are willing to spend to make it last another 250k. I've spent about $4,000 on upgrades to my 2003 V8 and its about 210,000 miles. I expect this to last another 200k without major problems.
I bought a kenwood unit few years ago for $750. Now it is worth only $300. To answer your question, no. It isn't worth buying this overpriced bs. You mind as well use the $675 towards a new phone and phone mount holder to do the job.
I still regret paying that much for a headunit to this day...
I did mine with the biggest air filter i can find and with the TRD pipe for a tundra. Lets just say it felt like my 4runner was on turbo and feel like it can fly off the road any second. A bit weeee too fast for my taste.
Felt like i removed some kind of limiter on the 4runner and unleashed...
Is it hard to install? I wish to have one in my car too but Las Vegas doesn't seem to have installers or people willing to do it. It certainly is nice according to the videos. :cry2:
