I just got notified via mail that Toyota is doing frame checks on 01-04 Sequoias looking for rust damage due to the road salt in cold climates. Does that mean they are doing this for 4-runners now as well? Luckily my sequoia has only seen snow twice so I am not worried.

Yea, I already plan on bringing my ex bf for test drives and for the sale. That's the part that scares me the most so I definitely wouldn't meet up by myself.

I wouldn't trust a Carfax with the number blacked out. That defeats the purpose of showing the vehicle's history. For all the buyer knows, you have a Carfax belonging to another vehicle and not the one of interest.

Yea, that is how I see it too. I want a VIN number before I ever bother going to check out a car. I want to know if there were serious accidents to it and you can't tell what happened to a car in most cases by just looking at the body anymore. Why waste time? I am not gonna go waste my time...

Well, he didn't actually ask for the VIN, I offered it. I mentioned it if he wanted to do a carfax and he said yes please, so I sent. Ok, I won't send VINs anymore. Lol

This call was a man that saw me drive by. I wrote for sale on my windows with a window marker. Plus I have his number and name!

Sorry, my thread has officially become advise for selling my sequoia. So I had a call today from a guy that asked what is my absolute lowest price I would sell it for. I told him "it is negotionable and I expect to get talked down in price but I would rather discuss price after looking at it."...

Thanks for the suggestion. I am gonna state my # doesn't accept texts. I am still getting them. Got 2 more while I slept from scammers. Same song and dance about "item" and not local area codes.

I went ahead and did as BrianSD_42 suggested and a few hours later I got a similar text as the first initial one asking if my (full copy and pasted title again) was still available. It was yet again another 323 area code. Then just now a guy in NorCal texted me asking if I would accept $6k...
