Yes it was a simple repair. I took it to naperville toyota and was quoted 750.00 to fix the problem I said NO. Watched a few videos on youtube...ordered new solenoid for 20 bucks popped it in and has worked like new for the past 7 years.

The p0773 is back on my 2000 4runner, I tested the circuit and it looks ok, so i'm changing the solenoid. Where can I buy the SL lockup solenoid? Dealer wants 240.00, napa wants 199.00. Anywhere for a better price, online maybe?

Talk about lucky. Today I bought a 2000 4runner Limited with 110,000 miles for 7,400 from a private owner. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I drove it for 3 or 4 hours it runs like new. I'm sold on carfax, if it wasn't for that report I would have bought that total loss sr5.
