About using a gear oil for rear diff: if you use 85w140 will it reduce your mpg vs using 75w90? Here in Mozambique, the guy who is purported to be THE diff guy, says to use 85w140 in our vehicles. However, the guys who rebuilt my engine in SA and have done some other services and repairs for me...

No specific info on the shock length from Dobinsons (will check). But David at Dobinsons (works with Mike) had said I didn't need any additional stuff so was taking that as square advice. Once I started reading a few more build threads I began to think maybe I might need to consider "some"...

I'm going to get a Dobinsons package for my 99 Surf/4R. I will get their springs and shocks all way round. It will be 50mm/2" lift according to the website. I spoke with a rep and they said it will not need any additional parts to compensate for the lift. Anyone have thoughts about this matter...
