Tires
Finally got around to buying tires.....settled with a set of Nitto Terra Grappler 285-70-17 with the 5 star split rims.
I am having a problem getting my center caps to stay on.....they will not snap in place like they did on the other rims.
Any suggestions??
Axle
Got the napa cv axles with a lifetime warranty for 103.00 a piece. Got the tie rod ends on. That was super easy. Got the cv axle all ready to take out. Will try in the morning to pop it out.
Is there a easy way to pull the axles out of the differential?
Thanks
Axles
I have no problem working on the car. I have to tools and shop to do it. I have done all my own work on it. The alignment shop wanted 650.00 to replace cv axles and new tie rod ends.
Napa parts here are less than 200.00.
I'm just not sure about that slop.....that worry me. But...
I just installed a 3" Toytec lift.....today I took it in to have the alignment done.
They said CV axles are leaking now and outer Tie rods are done.
I got it home and checked everything out.
My concern is this.....when I grab the CV axle part(the part closet to transfer case) it is loose.
There...
Sand blaster
You can buy it at a Tractor Supply or I think Harbor Freight has the same model. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it for you.
It's a 110lb Central Neumatic one.
You will need a two stage compressor to be able to keep it going.
lift
Toytec lift came in today.
It was raining so we could not work this afternoon....came home and started on the passenger side.
Sandblasted some of the areas and applied the undercoat paint and then started on the lift.
