If it were me would keep the early TE. I prefer driving my 2012 over my 2017 Pro. I looked into swapping the 17 for a new 23 but the TE will die with me as the only owner.
As you all know the 5th gen is sensitive to balance issues. If they’re having to put several weights on one wheel as opposed to all the others you’re going to get the shakes.
I had this issue with two sets of different tires. America’s tire swapped them out and the issue was gone.
Good luck.
I finally had the bearings replaced.
I went with all OEM stuff from Bluepit and am extremely pleased with the transaction. Good communication, super fast shipping and packaging was excellent.
Also added new 5100s to replace the old set that were very done after 90k miles. Needless to say...
Thanks for all the awesome responses!
I’ve put 192k on the original wheel bearings. The right wheel bearing just started to make a very low-key hum and the left bearing is still fine. Nevertheless, they’re both getting replaced soon and when I decide what parts I’m going with I will let you...
I need to replace my front wheel Bearings.
Blue pit seems to be the standard for quality but what is available for a cheaper price?
I see a lot on eBay for considerably cheaper that state they use koyo bearings and a dorman hub.
anyone use any of the eBay sellers products and are you...
Nice review of the skids.
I fish the Eastern Sierra a lot but I haven’t been up there yet. I hear the lakes up there are only holding small fish. How would you rate the trail compared to Laurel Lakes?
2010-13 TE if you can. Best looking and the interior is not as hot as the softex offered on the later models. I have a silver 2012 TE and a 2017 Cement pro, I prefer the 2012 in a lot of ways.
2010-13 Blue and red TE were not offered in all regions. They are very rare indeed.
When I purchased my 17 I went with Logix credit union. My credit score is above 800, rate was 1.74% on a 60 month loan.
Right now they’re offering 1.49% but for 36 months so longer terms and credit worthiness will change the rate.
I believe I saw you heading through Lee Vining from Mono Lake. Was up there with the family camping in Lee Vining the 10th-13th.
If I would have known I could have taken you on a nice little excursion for trophy trout... If ya ever head back out to the Eastern Sierra and want an epic trout...
