I actually have a friend that owns a body shop and they matched a section of the center console. I would recommend that if you know someone. I know that doesn't help much but the cost was well worth it.

Have to agree with this. RSG is awesome to work with and have great quality but my sliders came in damaged also. It might increase the cost a little but in hindsight I would have gladly paid a the extra for better packaging . Mine was small but in the most visible place possible. Just decided...

It’s the scosche dash kit. I had it painted to match by a body shop. Also had the recessed bezel section next to the face of the head unit painted flat black like the stock radio. That was worth the effort imo.

Yes. I have been playing around with the settings. I was testing the USB port and I plugged one in and was unaware that it had some photo files on it. I like that I can throw up something custom if I want. Here are some pictures that look more stock.

Quick update. I bit the bullet and installed a Kenwood DDX 9906XR head unit with the I-data link maestro for steering wheel controls and obd access for gauges etc. I love it. Awesome sound, flawless carplay/Siri, tuning capability galore, and no need to ever touch the phone. I thought I would...

I turned off the wifi and bluetooth. Carplay works perfectly through the factory USB. Have not tried with Waze etc but music play, responding to texts, Siri etc is flawless. I wish I had done this a year ago.

Thanks. Sounds like it’s not unusual. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t have something strange going on. It works great after about 2-3 minutes. Now I need to decide when I want to reflash the maestro dad gummit! I should have added more customization. Great thread. Thanks to everyone.

Yes. I tried duplicolor black sand metallic 1st and it looked ok but not a dead match. I have a friend that owns a body shop and he nailed the color. I also had the inside of the bezel by the head unit painted flat black. I think that adds a little extra touch and looks more stock.
