    100 octane?

The ECU won't take advantage of the higher octane. Would be nice though.

    question for v8 owners

My best with the v8 is 415ish miles. That was with a 55-60mph commute in mountains. I have found that once you get up to 75mph average it drops a lot. Wish I had the v6 but boats don't give you a lot of help when you tow them....

    Removing Airlift 1000 air bags

I have had them in for about 5000 miles so it's not that encouraging that I haven't had problems yet. But they're great when I tow and haven't leaked so far. I also fed the lines through the frame so that snow/ice/carnage won't snag them. I wonder if that will make a difference in terms of how...

    Removing Airlift 1000 air bags

Tery, when I was thinking of putting 1000's in you helped talk me into it! Thats too bad that you're having problems. I don't offroad and bought the truck for towing but my guess is that your offroad adventures are what is kinking the lines. After seeing how the bags fit I decided not to...

    Brake issues again

If you are usually light on your brakes you can "glaze" the rotors. It's when you get that smooth layer of material on the rotor. That can cause squealing. The solution is to hammmer the brakes. I'd at least give it a shot.

    4Runner Programmers Available?

I don't know of one but it would be nice...runs so strong on 87, if we had a 93 program it would help.

    TR4 durability

When my truck is on a lift I easily appreciate how over built the truck is. Everything is solid. The truck is also fairly simple in relation to more expensive cars. So, there is less to go wrong in general, and what is there is done well. As a comparison...My last ride was an 04 volvo...

For those of you with a bug problem

I always use wax for the same reason....especially in early spring when the bugs are bad.

Jaebster, How minor a lift are you planning?

rear air spring with automatic leveling

I have the sure set system with 1000's. It levels the load nicely and it beats manually inflating the bags. Installation took a long time though... 7hrs long. Granted that is a really clean install.

Limited Owners: Few Good Tire Options

I'm in the same boat as you. I'd like better tires but there isn't much out there. The silent armors are in our size so I would think about that.

    Air lift 1000s and towing

Under $100 for springs and about $350 for the compressor. It's a steal compared to the 4K to install the toyota system.

    Air lift 1000s and towing

You don't need the compressor but it is nice. The install was done with a friend who has more tools and is more mechanically inclined... The only difference is that we ran the air lines in the frame which will decrease likelihood of snags. Also, I did not need to drop the suspension to put...

    Air lift 1000s and towing

Just installed 1000s and the compressor system to tow my 3000lb sailboat. The sag is completely gone, and I have about 3 inches of lift to play with. In addition, the trailer is so stable behind me that I forget it is there on long stretches of highway. Another happy air lift customer!
