Ill agree with cookie- a well maintained engine doesn't need any additives other than maybe a injector cleaner once in a while. Sounds like that guy was not maintaining his engine if his oil was "very dirty" And the "experts" at Jiffy lube probably added too much and he probably drove it too...

Im curious about the Jiffy Lube story- What exactly happened.. They poured a whole bottle in the crankcase and the engine exploded instantly? Ill agree changing oil is the best preventative maintenance. Seafoam is nothing more than a cleaner, not meant to solve any problems-

I lied. When I disconnected the radio I only checked my locker switch. I took it apart again and the dimmer worked! So I grabbed the Factory harness that the aftermarket stereo plugs into. And found the White wire with a green stripe. Followed it into the stereos wiring which on that side was...

Well I pulled the stereo, cut the orange illumination wire and taped it off. I also installed a new (used) dimmer switch. No luck- Ive checked every fuse- All are good. I disconnected the stereo as well. Nothing changed... :ak472:
