I think I’m gonna try to get at it with a flat metal chisel since I don’t have a grinder. The bolt is spinning in place so I don’t think heat and gun will do any good.

Trying to remove the running board covers on my 3rd gen SR5 but the nuts are seized and the bolt is just spinning on the spot. Any recommendations on how I can get just the cover off the running boards?

Just an FYI for anyone experiencing this problem - had a similar issue with my rig (heard rattling in low speeds after hitting the accelerator), ended up being a missing bolt + nut on the outer case (shield?) of my front cat. Goes to show could be almost anything that causes the rattling. Just...

Thanks for the replies. I did the reverse shopvac plug into my exhaust pipe today to check for exhaust leaks and sure enough the gasket between my front and rear cat is blowing air! Gonna try to patch it/replace the gaskets and give it another go. Will keep everyone posted

Reviving the thread - curious if y’all think the wraps will corrode the exhaust pipes over time? Heard it traps moisture and heat = recipe for disaster?

Hi - I’ve got a similar issue at the moment and was hoping someone could shed some light. 99 4runner cali spec threw a P0420 after some harsh weather. Thought it was the O2 sensors, replaced those and still got the code. Plugged in my shopvac today and found an exhaust leak between the two...

According to the image here the corresponding values should be: Black = Blue Grey = White Just double check to make sure that both the heater wires are white! Else maybe its another configuration

Hi I have the exact same situation right now where my upstream A/F Sensors is holding at around 0.6V and my downstream O2s will either fluctuate or hold between a slightly higher voltage. Did you end up figuring out the issue?

Saw that there was already an O2 sensor post and so going to revive the tread. I have a 99’ sr5 v6 cali with the upstream A/F and O2 downstream. Recently got the P0420 code and so I’m trying to figure out if it’s the downstream O2 sensor or the cat. Im not the first owner and so not sure when...
