well i figured out my problem and for anyone else with an 08 4runner. Do you not need the wiring harness, just the flasher (relay) is fine.

my presets keep getting erased so pioneer said my tuner needs to be hooked up to a constant power source. My question is how and where can i find a constant power source that I can splice into? Also, should i worry about it draining my battery completely down if i dont use my car for 2 or 3...

thanks for the reply, so if i do that, then i should have the white end of the new relay plugged into the main wire and then the gray end just hangs there and isnt connected to anything? When i do that, the flasher lights dont even work (when i press the emergency button)
