I was wondering if you snow drivers notice a big difference between driving with the center dif locked or un-locked?
Does it grip better in the snow when locked?
Not happy with the gearing on the 5 speed slush box at all. The runner goes into top gear way to soon and I think it lags on hills until it shifts down. I often drive around town in forth gear.
- The door lock and window controls are in the wrong spot
- on the "06" V-6 the 5 speed auto shifts into top gear to soon and it feals like it should be in 4th gear.
- Don't forget the piece of junk stock tires I think for a rig that is this much $$$ the stock tires should be better.
Thanks for the info Thai
I called Cooper tire right away and had them check to see if my Mastercraft Courser A/T's were affected but my size were safe 265/65/17. :)
What is the Deepest snow you ever drove threw?? And did you get stuck??
Many Years ago a friend of mine and I went out to get stuck for fun after a large snowfall I had a Jeep Grand Cheorkee at the time with a new set of snow tires and I got stuck in some 3 ft plus. drifts. I high centered...
I have an "06" sport and I do drive quite a bit so after the summer I put new tires on for winter just to be safe.
The lack of tred depth on the Dunflops just made me worried about winter. And I have had some cheep no name tires on other SUV's that were better in the rain.
I was wondering can I engage 4WD in reverse?
I have a long driveway and if it snows durring the night and I need to put it in 4wd when I back out will it go in? or is this not a good idea.
"06" V6 sport
On my 06 V6 runner to the right there is a hose going into the intake manifold and there is what looks like some sort of fuel filter? But from reading some posts on here the fuel filter is in the fuel tank?
Anyone know what this filter is?
I had a jeep some years back with the inline six and that thing sounded like someone dumped a load of quarters and dimes in the crankcase from day one but it did go 150K before I sold it.
My six in my 06 runner ticks a little as well but hay the way I look at it ..........It makes allot less...
