I included modifications because that's part of what I wanted from my ownership experience. I bought the truck to build something that could do hard wheeling and I had a blast doing it. Trying to do everything the cheapest way is another conversation.

Turns out the cable is seized in the sheathing. Not sure if it melted or was kinked or what. I appreciate the information everyone.

Does anyone have a picture of what this looks like with the trans oil pan off? I'm going to try again tonight to get the cable off the transmission, but I'm thinking its seized somewhere inside. On another note, the throttle is very easy to push now, and its lovely to drive lol
