I Found a bunch of sensors. I found the green, and tan sensor. I cleaned them as well as the throttle sensor. I put my original MAF. I jumped the battery and left the cables attached. The car turned over and stayed on and ran fine for 5-6 mins then I took off the jumper cables. The Truck still...

When I turn it on it idles really rough and you gotta have your foot on the gas to keep it on, once you lift your foot off the gas it dies. I thought it was the mass air flow sensor but it's not gave it a tune up changed the fuel filter. Now I don't know what else to do? It was just working like...

Probably the MAF I just received mine and my t4r was doing the same and I'm pretty sure that's the problem.

I have an 88 4runner 4cly and I have a bad mass airflow sensor do I need an exact match to replace it? I bought an sensor off an 87 but it's still not running right but running better.

I have an 88' 4cyl 4runner. The mass air flow sensor went bad. To replace it do I need the same year? Also do I need the part numbers to match?
