Ok good, I just re-stated that because the post stated most auto trans do it, none of my previous vehicles wouldn't shift when cold some were slow but none stayed in 2nd. I am not going force it I have no problem with waiting, the truck runs well.

I just wanted to clarify the trans doesn't shift into 3rd at all until it is warm I haven't own a vehicle that has done that before

HaHa ..I wondered.. I read some vehicles do this I have only owned a 4runner for a month or so. I get so paranoid when I first buy a used vehicle.

The last couple of days I noticed my 98 was slow to shift up in gear it doesn't do it very long maybe the first 30 seconds (the colder the longer) I am going to make an appt. tomorrow but any thoughts on what it could be? It runs very well when warm.

I checked both ebay.ca and com? maybe I didn't search properly I have seen them for 70-100 but they use ups which means brokerage fees from us or want 60+ $ us to ship. Could you send a link? I am curious I couldn't find them.

Generally are still around 200 after shipping this is a new to ebay seller I thought I would pass it along because it is a good price for them.
