I always ASSUME EVERYONE on the road is an idiot and use defensive driving practices by keeping aware of my surroundings, keep safe distances between myself all potential morons entering/exiting my vehicle's zone of travel and possible unexpected/unforeseen emergency maneuvers by fellow drivers...

Yeah, there's usually a trade off. Good rule of thumb in your case is priority and efficiency. Do I drive more highway than off-road, how important are these features vs better MPG, Do I really 'need' this type of configuration here, etc...?

You'll see more MPG if you remove that stuff off the roof, less drag coefficient, especially at highway speeds. Tell ya what, if you have 2 trucks, 1 with your kind of lights (round spot lights), rack on top of a roof rack and spare tire on top; 2nd truck with the spotlights grill/front mounted...

If they had these when I was in the market for custom mats, I would of gotten these or husky instead. IMO weathertechs are overpriced for their intended purpose. Good find OP!

This is true, I've owned both sets of FJ rims (6 spoke & 8 hole). Only difference other than the styling is rim weight (6 spoke rims weigh less).

For install, I disconnected the LCA bolts (2), upper and lower shock mounts, wheels (of course) and loosen the LCA alignment bolt/tab. For people with more lift/kits/additional spacers, they might have to also disconnect the front sway bar. I just used my hydraulic jack bar/pry bar on the LCA to...

I used that method to install and re-adjust my front 5100s, not that hard at all and doesn't require taking out/totally disassembling or use of spring compressor.

I did mine with no life, no wife, no shirt, and no beer. I do have a lift, and had to turn the front passenger side wheel full lock to the right to gain easier access to the front diff and transfer case, used a fuel line hose connected to the diff. bottle and used gravity to do the work. Boy...

Driveline "Thunk"..... :doh:, tho I haven't seen it reappear since changing out my diff/transfer fluids to synthetics and keeping the zerks greased.
