Finally got my cargo area bike rack all bolted up. Used a piece of 2 1/4x1, a fork block I got off amazon, and nutserts(or rivet nuts, whatever you wanna call 'em).

One was torn during shipping, but I ended up swapping the boot from the old joint over. Still felt solid, not brittle or anything, the joint was just absolutely toast.

He needs some mudflaps, those tires are gonna throw a lot of pebbles on the pavement!

Just wondering if anybody's done this, and if so, where they got the boot itself from. Got a pair of brand new lowers, and on one of 'em, the dust cover ripped open a bit during shipping, I'm guessing. The joint itself seems fine, smooth movement and all, and the part was backordered for a month...
