You're probably right. Going to pull off and take to local rebuild company. They quoted $85 bucks.

Too funny

No remote starter, all stock. I have verified everything I can see for lose wires. Definitely happens after driving...hot, just happened again. Luckily near restaurants so I had lunch. Cooled off in the parking garage and started right up after 45 min.

Started fine on 5 other occasions today while running errands. Tried the pulling on the wires today...didn't have the luck like the other day. The two other wires that run to the positive side both look fine and the small wire to the starter is good. Nothing looks melted. Also just started it...

Won't start when hot So now it is randomly not starting when hot. Turn the key and no sound, no click, no turning over...dash lights all work, clock is the only thing that dims. Drove to get gas 10 min and wouldn't start. Wait 20 min and starts right away. Doesn't always do it...weird...any ideas?

Replaced both battery cables and connectors...still didn't start. Out of frustration I started pulling and beating on all the cables going to the battery and on the starter relay fuse...mysteriously it started working. Weird!? Back in business for now:). Thanks for everyone's help...awesome site!

I replaced the contacts and autozone tested it 3 times.

Autozone tested my starter. Sometimes you turn the key and it starts...other times nothing. Truck started 5 Days ago.

Starter checked out good. It's all stock...factory alarm. No aftermarket alarm. 5 days back from Kuwait and frustrated....uuuhg! I'm in the process of replacing both battery cables. Thanks for the help!
