gas milage / bigger tire ??

I checked my odo compared to GPS and I am at a 5% difference. Odo reads 9.5 miles and GPS says 10 miles. So 17.79 plus 5% = 18.72mpg...not great but better than 17.79. I have 265/70/17 revo's...Those are highway miles and I drive like a grandma! I also have the V6 FALLS..your math is off...

I have a little better news now! I checked my odo compared to GPS and I am at a 5% difference. Odo reads 9.5 miles and GPS says 10 miles. So 17.79 plus 5% = 18.68mpg...not great but better than 17.79

I use TWO gps!!! I have a garmin c 580 and a tomtom 920!! The speed I am posting is from the GPS NOT the speedometer!! I think the difference is about 3.5%. I am REALLY dissapointed by the mileage...I drive like an OLD MAN...I have 5500 miles on the truck and I think all the gas around here is...

I just came back from 2 1/2 hours on HIGHWAY only....I averaged between 59 and 68 mph with the majority of time at 68 mph...probably 2 hours at 68mph. I got exactly 17.79 mpg with my revos at 40 psi. The best I got was 17.3 when the revos were 32psi. The ride at 32 psi was much softer though. I...

Hi Koz, I did go with the 70's..I will try 40 psi...makes sense as that would reduce the rolling resistance...I sure hope they are not set at 40 psi right now!! LOL

NO, I would keep the 4 runner and just get a base line prius or corolla...something that gets closer to 35-45mpg!

I am seriously considering getting either a PRIUS or a COROLLA!!

    Finally got my REVOS installed

I would be THRILLED with 19 ish mpg with my revos....I am only getting 17.3 highway with revos and 19.5 with dunlops...I wasnt complaining about the 19.5....I was complaining about the 17.3 highway

I do not have a lift but I did upsize to 265/70/17...in hindsight HUGE mistake for mileage....I LOVE the tire and the aggressiveness of it and its wet handling ability..I am in the Endless Mountain ranges on the border of PA and NY...I live in PA and work in NY. I was shocked by the...
