I also felt my traction was increased in the snow at 40 psi also. (Weird but it was) I aired down during the winter and Koz said to bring it back up and it did help quite a bit.
Also my comment made in my first post about muddy , slippery conditions is a normal thing for an all terrain tire. I didn't expect anything to be any better there.

Ok---I run my Revos at 36-38psi, and during the summer I get consistantly 21+ mpg's. Dont know what I would get the the stock Dunflops---I got rid of them after 5K miles. During the winter, with the winter blend gas around here, I am still getting 18mpg's consistantly.
FYI-This is based on actually calculations, not relying on the mpg gauge in the truck which is always 1.5-2 mpgs high.

As far as knowing what is the best air pressure to achieve the best handling, there is an old way to get pretty good results. Make sure the tires are up to operating temp, by driving the vehicle a couple miles. Adjust the air pressure in all 4 tires to OEM recommended pressure. Take a piece of white chalk and color a 3
I don't mind the ride at 40 at all , yes you feel a little more on a rough road . I'm running P metric tires so they have more give than the one's (I think) Koz has . I preferably want to go with a "C" rated next time , and they are not available in the Revos.
I sure do see al lot of them around here on trucks mostly and probably the "E" heavy duty ones. I'm always checking out who's running what when I see whatever kind of truck at the Farm store.

I just came back from 2 1/2 hours on HIGHWAY only....I averaged between 59 and 68 mph with the majority of time at 68 mph...probably 2 hours at 68mph. I got exactly 17.79 mpg with my revos at 40 psi. The best I got was 17.3 when the revos were 32psi. The ride at 32 psi was much softer though. I think I will go to 36-38 psi for slightly better ride than 40 psi...at 40 it is pretty stiff. I have the passenger not LT revos

Were Dunlop MPG calcs with summer or winter gas blend? Did you use a correction factor on the odometer reading for the taller tires? I know with my stock 265/65/17's (Cross-terrains) my GPS says the speedo is dead on but the odometer 'under-reports' by 3%. If mine is 3% under yours must be way under, possibily 7-8%. Next time you're on the interstate check it aganst 2 or 3 of the little green mile markers. If you're on for 10 miles even better; just clear a tripmeter as you pass one and compare the tripmeter to 10 mile markers' distance. :cheers:

The speed I am posting is from the GPS NOT the speedometer!!
I think the difference is about 3.5%. I am REALLY dissapointed by the mileage...I drive like an OLD MAN...I have 5500 miles on the truck and I think all the gas around here is winter blend still...it was 33 degrees this morning. I bought the truck this February 7th so all calculations were done during the winter...I drove from Florida to PA with 500 miles on truck and averaged 19.5mpg with the dunlops at each fill up untill I hit snow in PA and then it dropped to 18-18.5. I lowered the air pressure to 37-38psi. rides seems a little better. I have only GOTTEN on the throttle 3 times since I have owned this truck...THAT IS IT...UGH! I think upsizing was a mistake for me even though I love the look! Heck my friend has a shelby GT500 with 500 horsepower and as long as he doesnt get on it he does 20mpg!
HMMM...so you mean the odometer is reporting less miles because of the larger tires so I would be getting approx 7-8% better mileage? That would put me around 19mpg?? 17.79 plus 7% equals 19??
