Hey guys, I received my tire carrier yesterday morning and tried installing it. I tried without removing my hitch from the rear bumper, but I dont think it will work that way. I'll post some pics once I finish this AM.

Are any of you guys going to weld the two tabs to the left and right of your receivers? Doesn;t seem like too much trouble to keep it rattle-free. Thoughts? EDIT: looks like there is only one tab to the left now

Thanks, I love they way my truck looks now. The painting was quick, it was the prep that took half the day. I used playing cards.

I thought they should as well, I taped everything off and sprayed it with Rust-Oleum "paint for plastic". I knew I liked the look so took my time and did it right the first time, and only one time..

My welds are rusting too. I called and was told they were aware that the powder coating was thin in some areas. They were happy to help me find a local guy to re-coat, but really don't want the hassle. Anything to be worried about? Thanks
