    Banana Holder NOW AVAILABLE

The idea sounds great but I've always felt Toyota made the space for the driver's right leg/foot too tight in just nearly every way. It would be interesting to see if this mount would be slim enough to fit there in a 4Runner.

    4Runner Interior LED Light Swap

HID Kit interior lighting We didn't shop around or try to compare LED types. I was disappointed that one was broken at the solder connection. I figured I could solder it back on but there was no way due to the minimalist construction approach. While putting them in I was worried about...

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Overland, great post! You noted the front diff drop but was there a rear one, too? How much lift did you get?

    Got my 15 posts!

Woo hoo! With this one, I've reached 15. Going for a beer now. Kind of reminds me of turning 21. :)

    Serious Battery Concern

Probably a 90% chance it is the battery based on the age. But it could also be that it's not being charged properly. A 12.1V level is odd for a either a charged or damaged battery. Since each cell is 1/6th the voltage, I'd expect maybe 11.5V or less with a completely dead cell. However, I...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I swapped my cabin filter, too. Just makes sense to get a washable one.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

In case anyone missed it, the airbag recall is for model years 2010 to 2016.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I mounted a VisionX ditch pod today. Yes, "a". Now it's a one-eyed Jack. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to, um... ditch the pirate look. :)

    4Runner Interior LED Light Swap

Thanks for the advice on puddle lights, the clip breakage warnings, the nice-to-see photos, and especially the encouragement. It never occurred to me to not do it in the cold weather despite the fact I heat plastic all the time to bend it for other projects. Makes sense to bring it in the garage...

    4Runner Interior LED Light Swap

We went with the set from HID Kit Pros based on the excellent install video by WanderLost. (One of the LEDs for the map/puddle light was defective, though.) WanderLost didn't show the puddle light install and when we saw how someone else did a big dissassemby of the mirror housing, we skipped...

sPod HD or Switch Pros 9100

I don't know if they fixed it, but I noted a year ago SPod had a table on the back of their brochure that was supposed to help you but got the simple formula Watts = Volts * Amps wrong. Running numbers for your setup is a good thing any way you decide to go.

    Roll Over Risk?

Buying my first 4runner, I was concerned by the rollover stats I'd seen. On the test drive, I purposely did some too-fast turns at an intersection where the road was banked the wrong way, causing it to move in the tipping direction. My conclusion was that it was okay. I could feel the difference...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I installed a C4 Fabrication auxillary battery tray. Instructions were a bit off but easy to figure out. It a very solid mount in the engine bay corner in front of the passenger.

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Hey Eddie, I've got the exact same KO2 tire and size on my '17 and no rubbing issues. Not lifted.

    Spend my money on tires/wheels

I have the BF Goodrich KO2. They aren't as aggressive as what you had but have a deeply grooved sidewall which gives them a good look from the side. I really like them because they are super quiet on the road. With the beefy sidewall, they stop the nosedive at stops that the stock 4Runners have.
