Either put them in a baggy and tape them to the running boards to keep them with the boards wherever you plan on storing them or put marine grease or any other waterproof grease on the threads and put them back into the holes they came out of. Stop any kind of rust or corrosion that way.

Nice thread cause I had the same thing. Mine was not loud but consistent. It seemed to die out when I turned off the re-circulation button and had the compressor chilling the outside air as it pulled the air into the vehicle. But once I put my re-circulation button back on the whine came back...

I'm sure they came out ahead, but I got a better 4R. My 2016 was a PITA to drive. VERY hard to steer being the first thing that comes to mind and the damn wheel wobble too.
