I was planning on coating with anti seize and throwing them back in. That way if I ever want to put them back on to sell the threads won't be rusted.
This is the correct answer.

How hard is it (how much time I should ask) is it to remove the running boards and install "nerf bars" with steps?
Is there a bar/step combo (or just steps) that screw into the original bolt holes or will I have to do some drilling?
I appreciate all the help y'all give me.
I am upgrading to sliders and will be selling my nerf bar rs steps from Nfab. I kept the old hardware. Will put anti-sieze on the old bolts and put them back in.
When you say "sliders" what exactly do you mean?
This is a rock 'slider'. Attaches to the frame and can support the entire weight of the vehicle. When you say "sliders" what exactly do you mean?
I screwed mine back into their threaded holes in the body to prevent debris from getting up into the holes and causing corrosion, etc. Probably a fruitless effort, but still - it's slightly better than just leaving them wide open.
