Actually there are a lot of theories on EMP and newer vehicles. None proven...good for us, 'cuz that means someone has to detonate a nuke to prove it! A few other forums out there have looked into this. And the general belief is that if SHTF tomorrow...no one knows.

Also a thing to look at around the rear window are the guide's for the window regulator. At the bottom of the glass is a pressed on metal guide that is about 6" long and has a slot that the roller rides in. Look at this closely because if that is rusted [common] the regulator roller will pop out...

OK, I'm about fed up with the drips-n-puddles in the driveway..[but the rust free underbody is nice!:D ]..how do I go about tracking down a PS fluid leak? I replaced the power Steering hose from pump to rack...but still lose fluid by about a pint a week. I've checked the fittings as best I can...

Have the same problem with my '90's speedo...when its cold out it squeals and the needle jumps around. I took the instrument cluster out and used a spray grease into the speedo cable head. Long spray and lots of it...took care of it...well until it's below -20f, then I cant blame it for acting...

Heh Heh! Kinda funny you mentioned the starter! I learned 'the hard way of course' of how much of a PITA it was as well. On my 4R it was a loose starter lead that was causing the truck to not start. I pulled the starter thinking it was a dead spot in the starter that was the issue...and found...

Just did a intake manifold pull and timing belt change on my '91 3.0. Not all that bad of a job but still took me most of a weekend. So Face2six, was it the sensor itself or just a bed wire lead? I am in the process of doing the same thing myself, timing belt is new and installed and next on the adjenda is the int. man. Just looks to be a pain in the butt to get off.
