Need Outer CV Joint Axle Housing

I need to get my diff rebuilt and I was going to send it over to Ken at gearinstalls.com. Ran into an issue where I need some outer CV joints so that I can drive without the diff installed. Does anyone have two lying around that I can snag? I would rather not spend money on two full axles to...

Front Diff Drivers Side Bearing Failing

So I ordered the bushing and seal. I'll see how it goes next Friday and let everyone here know if it worked for future reference!

Front Diff Drivers Side Bearing Failing

I did see something of the sort but could what I am dealing with be a needle bearing or does mine not have one? ECGS had this option, they said it replaces the needle bearing with a better bushing. Not sure if this applies to my model. I am going to email them and see what's up...

Front Diff Drivers Side Bearing Failing

So I have a strange grinding/wobbing noise that gets louder as I drive faster. I originally thought it was the driver side wheel bearing but after replacing that nothing changed. I tested the passenger side bearing and everything seems fine. You can definitely hear some grinding noise on the...

Keyless remote only locks, does not unlock

Bringing back an old thread... Was this ever figured out? I have the exact same problem. All my door lock motors are new, the fob only locks the doors, and it will not lock nor lower rear window down. I have replaced the relay unit inside with a junkyard one and nothing changed. I am wondering...

Front-end clunk/pop while turning, sway bar bushings are new... What next?

I had the same problem, the clunk was found to be the sway bar bushing mounts! I had the truck at the shop over the weekend and they replaced the left inner tie rod and told me the sway bar bushing were bad. I removed the links on the bar and the noise stopped. Try that out. It's a cheap fix!

How are you liking your BFG KO2s?

Crap! You're right... totally my bad haha Being hungover and posting is probably not the best combination! I had the KM2's I still do recommend the Nitto's though!

How are you liking your BFG KO2s?

I had the KO2's for a couple years and I wasn't a fan. Sure they are super aggressive but they were loud and gave my car horrible gas mileage. I switch to the Nitto Terra Grapplers last year and I ****ing love them! It was night and day difference. No more loud highway noises and I noticed my...

The Purple Nurple: a build(maintenance) thread.

I like what you have done to keep it nice and purty! Mine is around 159k now and I need to completely repaint/cleanup all the trim and items that aren't the main body. Do you have any recommendations on the type of paint I should use for the roof rack, spoiler, bumpers, etc?

Front-end clunk/pop while turning, sway bar bushings are new... What next?

So I made the plunge and got the Safari rack. Colin over at Safari was a great help and was generous to give me a 10% discount which made it $475! :bounce: Definitely can't wait to get this replaced this weekend! Any words of advise before I do this?

Front-end clunk/pop while turning, sway bar bushings are new... What next?

I have the same problem right now. I've replaced the upper and lower ball joints, both cv axles, the driver side control arm. I know its not the sway bar because I've removed the entire assembly and the clunk continues. I am interested in knowing more about Safari LTD. Are they a cheaper...

If you have used NAPA cv axles please reply

So I replaced mine about 4 months ago due to the fact that I had one shock longer then the other. I lowered it and everything has been great. The moral of the story is don't extend your shocks father then 3" or you will go through cv axles like hotcakes! At least they are lifetime warranty ;)
