Yeah that’s true about the drive shaft being always engaged to the rear differential, I was just blinded by rage and frustration that I wasn’t thinking clearly.

I bought a stethoscope and found it was the driver side front. I already tried turning right and left before but it made no difference. That $10 stethoscope was a pretty good buy!

The sound has been a lot worse the past couple days and it sounds exactly like a wheel bearing now. This morning my ABS traction control lights etc. started going off. The issue is that there isn’t any play and I can’t figure out what side it’s on if that’s the case.

I tried coasting downhill in neutral and it sounds the same. Wouldn’t that be equivalent to removing the driveshaft since it doesn’t rotate in neutral?

Yeah I keep thinking the same thing but I already greased them up after the lift and have been about twice a year. U joints look good also. I replaced the axle shaft seal which stopped the leak and rebuilt the CV axles a couple days ago but the noise is still there. The needle bearing looked...

Icon springs for the front Bilsteins?

I didn’t think you could put longer coils on the front struts especially if I wanted to raise the notch all the way to 2.5.

Just out of curiosity, would it be smoother to set the front Bilsteins at 2.5 (without a top spacer obviously) or set them to stock height with a 3” top mount spacer? I’m asking because I have the spacers on my stock suspension now but will soon be upgrading to Bilsteins.

I just bought 2 Beck/Arnley inner boot kits from rockauto at about $10 a piece. Just came in the mail today and they feel pretty sturdy.

First I would like to say that I’ve been searching other threads for this issue for weeks now and the closest thing I can think of is the needle bearing but it doesn’t go away in 4high. Were you able to find a solution I’m having the same issue. I wonder if adjustable rear UCA’s will help.

I know this is old but I’m having the same pinion angle issue. What is the fix?
