I think up until '01 or '02 you could get a 5 speed V6, not sure though. I just took my first road trip of about 8 hours in my 99 V6. On my first tank I got almost 23 mpg, which was more than i was expecting. They say that mileage gets worse after about 65, but i think it must get better at 80.
