Does this sound like a good deal?

My uncle will sell me his 99 SR5 V6 2WD Auto w/ 121k miles for $8000. Does this sound like a good deal? The car has been well taken care of and the miles are mostly freeway so do you guys think that it has a bit of life left in it? Thanks for the help.

i looked on KBB's suggested retail value and they gave me almost $12,000.

the vehicle i searched was a 1999 sr5 v6 2wd with the following options:

Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Cassette
Dual Front Air Bags
ABS (4-Wheel)
Privacy Glass

i'd say that truck is a great deal and has pleanty of life if it was well maintained. i'm sure that you trust your uncle took care of it. unless you're going to buy brand new...i'd say take it....it's a toyota!

I looked up KBB with the standard options that come up for a 1999 SR5 2wd w/ 121k miles Auto in "Good" condition, and the trade value comes up at about $8k. "Excellent" condition is about $8800.

I'd say if it's well taken care of by your uncle, then it's a good deal.
