Well ****. The VSC kicked in again today while I was on backroads taking my dog to the vet, and after pulling over and restarting the car, the VSC OFF and VSC TRAC lights both went on and stayed on. Ironically, seems like the VSC isn't kicking in anymore (I'm guessing that's what the "VSC OFF"...

Update: So the shop told me I had a C1234 code, which indicates something is up with the yaw rate sensor. Going to try the VSC recalibration procedure and hopefully that will help. (Sounds like the yaw rate sensor can go out even without a lift.) Will report back! Thanks for the suggestion deves2.

The truck is at stock ride height, no lift. Your suggestion makes sense, but this runner is new to me and thus far it’s pretty stock. Drove it around again yesterday and nothing happened. Headed to work today — fingers crossed it was just a fluke!

Crutchfield is actually where I got the speakers and they came with adapters. They require a bit of redrilling in the door itself, which would be fine on paper. Unfortunately, however, the adapters are listed to fit either 5.25" speakers or 6.5" speakers; I got the 5.25" speakers (as Crutchfield...
