Mine likes to stay in the High position. But it does it intermittently... I can go a few weeks with no issues (it raises and lowers fine). Yes, I had the tinting shop tint right over the factory tint. I rarely use my windows (with the exception of rolling down the rear window) and I haven't had a problem. A friend of mine with an '03 T4R had all of his windows tinted about a year and a half ago and he hasn't had any problems either.

I am confident that Toyota will get their recent quality control issues under control. I think its all part of the "growing pains" they are experiencing lately. Its to be expected though, with their sales volumes so high, there is bound to be more quality issues arising.
