Parents looking at new 4Runners, but doesn't like that swirly looking interior trim

Ya I like it better too, mostly because it's darker, and blends into the door and teh rest of the console better.

I think if the 06 version wasn't so light, it wouldn't bother me as much.

The trim looks glossy and almost solid black unless there is direct light striking the trim.

Sure, when photographed with the flash on, or in direct sunlight, the woodgrain pattern stands out, but remember, this is interior trim. It doesn't get very much direct light, and most of the time it looks just like polished onyx.

That's how my trim pieces appear to me. I see almost as if it's all black rather than that swirly wood. Doesn't bother me enough, actually it adds a little luxurious touch--fake wood.

I don't mind the trim on the '06 Limited. But I much prefer the "granite" trim on my '03. I actually get lots of compliments on the "granite" trim. Much better than faux wood imo.

If the trim really bothers your mom, maybe she should look at something like the GX, or even an RX? IMO, Lexus has such nice looking interiors.

So because she doesn't like the trim on a 40k SUV instead of inquiring about options, they should just buy an echo car?

What a stupid answer to a post really,

I asked if there was any way to get the type of trim I have in my 04 for an 06. (special order, aftermarket ect), and your respose was to buy a Scion.

Maybe instead of insulting my parents (calling my mom petty), you could have been helpful, and answered the question asked, or not post at all?

Jason Burtman...can you offer some more comments on the new trim kits you're selling...for example, how are they attached and do they look good?
the pics on the site are OK, but the sitre says they are easily removed, so i was wondeirng how theyre attached etc...

I can help you with this too. I have two dash kits; one of them is from Jason. Both kits use double side 3M tape. You cleaning the surface with alcohol or special cleaner and stick them on. I have my dash kit for ~1.5 year, no problem so far.
Possibly Jason can give you some extra details, but if you looking for opinion, check my link; there is some images of both kits installed.
