I'm pretty sure it's just hard to balance these 20"s.
I put on winter tires (blizzaks) and road forced them = no more shimmy.
3k miles later (and some spirited driving in snow fields) and the shimmy is back in a *very* slight way.
Sure is annoying....

I think these 20" wheels are hard to balance because they're so tall/skinny.
My vibration went away 100% and hasn't returned in 1600miles after putting on new tires *AND* getting them road forced by a really good tire shop.
I don't know if the stockers were just out of balance or actually bad...
Anyone have more info on this guys question?
I've got a 2010 Limited and...
I never noticed the front being lower til I read it on here (damn you OCD :D) now it is bothering me.
I want to keep the stock XREAS but have the front confrom to the read. I don't want to raise the rear at all. (Does...
Just an update -- I got a set of 245/60/20 Blizzak DMV1s put on today and voila the shimmy is gone.
****ty stock Duelers were the culprit apparently since 3 balancings didn't fix it.
Will update if it comes back.
I couldn't agree more. Everytime I explain to people that we can't make changes, they look at me like "WTF? What if you have a passenger?"
Once I can mount a nice Android powered Tablet in there with google maps I'll ditch the stock unit. So that'll be a while :D
Ack! hope it turned out ok.
I checked with TireRack and they said the Revo2's are 4-6 weeks out.
Anyone install a 5th as a spare? I imagine the old 245s are too different in overall height to leave down there.
Also looking to get rid of the "shake" I'm hoping its my stock Duellers that are causing it, and I'm thinking the REVOs are my way out. It's really quite annoying at 62-65mph or so.
Thanks for checking the steering response guys.
I'll keep this updated to what my shop says as well.
Hopefully SOMEONE finds out what this is and it works for the rest of us.
We can't *all* have bad tires/balances right? Something's afoot.
I'm having the same problem and it's realllllly starting to piss me off.
I've had the tires balanced twice now and I don't have time to keep bringing it back to get brushed off. Makes me sad I swapped the Lexus for a Toyota. Their service dept would give massages while you waited for an oil...
